MAKQUAT 5000 - BIOCIDE

MAKQUAT 5000 is a boon to the sugar industry with 100% efficacy due to inbuilt chloride replacing system. It can be closed by gravity into the maceration water or at any other suitable points depending on the mill design to allow effective circulation of the chemical to all parts of the mills tandem.

Dextran :

Dextran, the most common and troublesome adversary of the sugar industry is the product of various fermentation such as that product by Leuconostoc and is of frequent occurrence in canes injured by insect ravages. The formation of these viscous gums in canes soon render them worthless for milling. Its high specific rotation, three times that of sucrose introduces a serious error into the polarization, and hydrolysis of dextran gives dextrose.

Levan :

This gum produced by Bacillus Laviniformans causes a rapid inversion of sucrose and produces slimy gum levan and hydrolysis of levan yields levi-lose.

Usage of our MAKQUAT 5000 stops formations of dextrose and levilose and thus ceasing total inversion. It also helps to eliminate viscous fermentations in which the syrup becomes thick, slimy and ropy.
